ELLINA AMIN

Blogger is a mommy, a wife, a cheapo traveller, a fanfiction reader,

a Manchester United fan and an egg ghost (hantu telur)

but she is on a wheat-free, egg-free, dairy-free diet, so unfortunate.

Will spend most of her savings on flight tickets kids apparel than a few handbags

Ok, I didnt get paid for this (tho I wish!) There's a reason for everything, I promise!

So have you heard of AirBnb?

If you are a frequent traveller you should totally try this out. Not only this website provide the best place to stay according to your budget (be it affordable or luxurious), each listing is actually someone else's home! They might have extra rooms, or they could also rent out the whole place for you. I'd recommend those who are tired of staying in the same ol' hotel environment, and to those looking for more privacy than hostels (at hostels rate especially when you travel in group). Lagi ramai lagi murah sebab boleh share. To get your first booking credit, register la account sini.

When I first travelled to London two years back (with Fariz and his Motiofixo partners + their wives), they booked us a 3-room apartment located right in the city of London. Its a pretty sophisticated neighbourhood I can say. This home is my first AirBnb experience and we had a pleasant stay. The hosts waited for us and showed us around. They provided us a pair of clean towels, shower gels, shampoos and chocolates in each room! Macam hotel tapi hotel takat gitu-gitu je kan?

Albany Mansion, Battersea - London

Tapi, there's more to that. AirBnb allows us to know our hosts in an interesting way (of course, we try not peek on their belongings). The house we lived in is actually owned by a group of friends who each has their own house elsewhere. Ni macam their second home la kiranya.

In the kitchen, we can see that a lot of recipe books, spices & cookwares (that only these people can afford..sobs) . So, when I was busy checking out the recipe books, I stumbled upon some written notes on some of the pages. They're actually recommendations and little notes on some recipes (they even have ideas for Malaysian recipes!) For me, thats a pretty cool thing to do. Rasa menarik sangat especially knowing that she has tried making Nasi Lemak :)

But be very cautious, jangan memandai book especially when its your first time booking. Make sure the listing is located exactly where its supposed to be at. Communications between you and the host is very important. Check on his/her reviews. Here are some other tips for you to check on. Happy booking!

Manchester United.
The next manager would be someone who has achieved too many, but hungry for more. One that will risk his status from a hero, to possibly none, or perhaps, to a legendary. As much as I love Giggsy and the Class of 92, I'd love Man United to have one that is solid & experienced. One that will own the dressing room and the players will respect. One that knows Man United is about winning & building history.

One thing for sure, passionate managers are proud men. They want to be the one. They would call themselves heroes. They want to be respected.

Manchester United is a big club. I'm confident the next one will change things and bring us back to glory. He isnt afraid. He's a risk taker. He knows he'll be dealing with pressure. The entire world is watching his every step. He will be overshadowed by Sir Alex Ferguson's saga, be compared to Ryan Giggs, or be dragged down with Moyes. But this is an opportunity to manage Manchester United!! A club so big that its freaking nuts to say no to. Am I right or am I so damn right?!

Hello, Louis van Gaal? If its not you, its still someone who's brave and bright enough to take the managerial role. So I do not mind.

Glory Glory Manchester United.

Hello everyone!

Its been a weirdly fun, extraordinary week for me.

I am in London!

I knew I'd be here one day, but not this soon! Thank you to my dearest husband & Motiofixo! for making my dream come true. If its not for them, I'd still be wondering..and dreaming.
So thank youuu :)

I arrived here on the 20th of October approximately at 4.30pm (bertolak from KLIA on the 19th Oct 10:05), the nonstop flight took us about 13hrs. Any longer than that will push the weariness to another level. But the tiredness soon forgotten as we were greeted by Fariz (yay!) at the airport and we took the tube to South Kensington, straight to Albany Mansion (its where we stay at in London).

I think they found this place via Airbnb so its pretty cool. The owners welcomed us with a box of chocolates, napkins & towels (stacked with a ribbon), Bvlgari bath products in each room (i think?) and we can use any of the spices & condiments provided. (and dorang ni macam very into cooking, you can see Jamie Olivers pans and cooking books neatly arranged at one side of the kitchen) .. (pictures sooon!)

We went out again and had dinner at this halal chinese restaurant (GBT 5.50 for rice + topping) in Leiceister Square? (I hope the spelling is right)

Fariz and I stayed at Thistle hotel for the night (his stuffs semua still kat sana and we didnt think it'd be wise to checkout that night)..
We were lucky indeed. The rest had pretty bad experience going back to South Kensington (still not knowing which tube/bus to take) ..

As for now, I really need to use the washroom and I gotta publish this or else nanti lupa pastu hilang.
